Luxury Armrest Retrofit
The standard X-Type arm rest is a fixed position lid (far right) that lifts to reveal a storage box.
An upgrade (optional at purchase) is available in the form of a sliding armrest with an incorporated 'oddments' tray beneath (right).
The arm rests often appear on eBay for approximately £30. Fitting them is very easy; simply lift up your existing arm rest and remove the hinge securing screws at the rear of the storage compartment.
The sliding Arm rest hinge screws in exactly the same place, so fitting should take around 5 minutes in total.
